形態特徵

Shrubs to 0.3–3 m tall, many branched; shoots relatively stout, gray or rufous floccose tomentose, glabrescent.
Leaves crowded, numerous, coriaceous, elliptic-oblong to oblanceolate-oblong or lanceolate, 2–8 cm long, 1.5–3.5 cm broad, base abruptly rounded, rarely narrowed, young leaves densely rufous or gray floccose-tomentose, soon glabrescent, midrib impressed on upper surface, prominent on lower surface, lateral veins impressed on upper surface; petiole stout, flattened, 0.5–1 cm long, floccose or glabrous.
Flowers 10–20, crowded in umbellate corymbs; rachis 1–2 cm long; pedicel 1.5–3 cm long, glandular and rufous pubescent; calyx minute, 5-toothed, teeth small, triangular or rounded, glandular, ciliolate; corolla white, broadly campanulate, 5-lobed, 3–4 cm long and broad; stamens 10, included, filaments flattened, villous at base; ovary rufous glandular pubescent; style glabrous.
Capsules short cylindric, 1–1.5 cm long, 0.5 cm broad, furrowed, glandular, crowned with remains of style.

分布

台灣 : on high peaks of central range at about 3,000–3,900 m, forming dense thickets.
