形態特徵

• Small deciduous shrubs or trees, branches erect, nearly glabrous.
• Leaves chartaceous, 3–5 crowded at apex of branches, ovate-rhombic, 2.5–6 cm long, 2.5–3.5 cm broad, apex callose-obtuse, base acute, margin entire, upper surface green, lower surface pale, both surfaces glabrous, or slightly pubescent along midrib on lower surface, lateral veins 4 or 5 pairs, straight-ascending; petiole 5–10 mm long.
• Flowers opening before leaves, terminal, 2–4(–5) in umbels; pedicel 7–10 mm long, densely appressed strigose-tomentose; bracts many, pubescent; calyx pubescent; corolla pink, spotted red-purple, funnelform, ca. 2.5 cm long, 3 cm across; stamens 10, nearly equal, included; ovary and base of style densely hirsute.
• Capsules cylindrical, ca. 1.5 cm long, 4 mm across, appressed furfurescent pubescent.

分布

• 台灣 : in forests from 200 to 1,800 m.
• 世界 : Eastern to western China.
