生活型

climber

形態特徵

A prostrate climber, to 10 m or more tall; branches about 2-3 cm across, with aerial roots.
Leaves hard-coriaceous, elongate, linear-lanceolate, about 60 cm long, sometimes to 1-2 m, about 2-3 cm broad, the apex long-acuminate, the base narrowed, sharply serrate toward the tip and the base, scattered-spiny along the midrib beneath.
Spadices 2-4, racemed, on a stout peduncle about 5 cm long; spathes yellow.
Fruiting mass cylindric, 8-11 cm long, 1.5-2 cm across, composed of numerous dense drupes, the drupes irregularly angular, about 1 cm across.

分布

台灣 : in the northern part of the island, Lanyu Is. and Lutao Is. near the seashore.
世界 : The Ryukyus.
