形態特徵

Climbing vines; stems 0.9-4 m long, 10-13 mm thick below, terete, smooth, unarmed, herbaceous or +/- woody below in tropical areas, freely branching above.
Leaf blade ovate to broadly ovate, or ellipsoid to broadly ellipsoid, occasionally lanceolate, 5-10 cm long, 3-6 cm wide, apex acute or acuminate, base rounded or shallowly cordate, herbaceous to thick membranaceous; costas 5 or 7, distinct on upper surface, elevated on lower surface, veinlets oblique, distinct on lower surface; petiole 1-2 cm long, 1.3-1.5 mm thick, scarcely sheathing; tendrils to 15 cm long.
Umbel solitary in leaf axils of branches and upper stem, staminate ones 15-25-flowered, pistillate ones 5-20-flowered; peduncle more or less compressed, 4-10 cm long, nonprophyllate at base; rays filiform, 0.7-1 cm long. Perianth segments yellow green, spreading to weakly recurved at anthesis; outer tepals oblanceolate, obtuse, 4-5 mm long, ca. 1 mm wide; inner tepals linear-oblong, nearly as long as outer ones, 0.5-0.7 mm wide. Staminate flowers: stamens 6, erect-patent; filaments ca. 3 mm long; anthers linear-oblong, 1.5-2 mm long. Pistillate flowers: ovary ovoid, 1.3 mm long, 1.8 mm wide; staminodia 3, needle-like.
Berries globose, 6-8 mm across, dark blue; seeds 3.
