形態特徵

Scandent perennial deciduous woody vines. Stem sulcate, glabrous.
Leaves pinnately to bipinnately compound, coriaceous; petioles tendril-like, 4.4-7.6 cm long; stipules absent. Leaflets 5 or 9, or sometimes 7, 2.9-11.3 cm long, 7-51 mm wide, elliptic, ovate or oblong, or sometimes lanceolate, apex acute or acuminate, base obtuse or truncate, unlobed, margin entire, glabrous on both surfaces, main veins 3 to 5, nerves flat or elevated on both sides, petiolulate, tendril-like, with 1 to 2 articulations
Inflorescences cymes, axillary or terminal; pedicels glabrous or nearly so, trichotomously branched; bracts and bracteoles subulate, coriaceous, glabrous or nearly so on both sides. Flowers 10-25 mm in diam. Sepals 4, white, spreading, 1.0-1.5 cm long, 3-5 mm wide, oblong-lanceolate; apex acute-mucronulate; base cuneate; glabrous on both sides except at margin velutinous outside. Stamens numerous, 3-10 mm long, glabrous, centripetal; anthers narrowly elliptic or linear, dehiscence lateral, longitudinal; connective shortly excurrent beyond pollen sacs, 0.05-0.09 mm long; filaments linear, flat.
Carpels numerous, ovary cylindric, glabrous; style white sericeous. Fruits 2-4 cm long; achenes 6-8 mm long, cylindric, sulcate, glabrous, black; style with orange or golden hairs.

台灣 : sunny places and forest margins between 1,000 and 2,500 m.
世界 : Mainland China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, and the Ryukyus.
