形態特徵

Scandent perennial evergreen woody vines. Stem sulcate, densely golden velutinous.
Leaves ternately compound, opposite, chartaceous; petioles tendril-like, 6.6-11.7 cm long. Leaflets 3, 6.4-13.8 cm long, 2.2-7.8 cm wide, ovate-elliptic, or ovate-lanceolate; apex acuminate or acute; base cordate or cuneate, lateral segments usually oblique; unlobed or rarely 3-lobed, margin dentate or serrate, golden velutinous on adaxial surface, densely golden tomentose on abaxial surface; main veins 3 to 5, nerves flat or sunken on adaxial side, elevated on abaxial side; petiolule tendril-like.
Inflorescence a dichasium or cymes, axillary; pedicels golden velutinous, trichotomously branched; bracts leaflike, lanceolate, golden velutinous on both sides; bracteoles subulate, golden pubescent. Flowers 15-25 mm diam., golden, campanulate, pendent, recurved at tip. Sepals 4, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 5-10 mm wide, oblong or ovate-oblong; apex acute; base cuneate; densely golden velutinous outside, glabrous or nearly so inside except at recurved tip and margin. Stamens numerous, 1-2.5 cm long, pubescent, centripetal, inner ones shorter; anthers linear, dehisence lateral, longitudinal, glabrous on both sides; connective shorter than pollen sacs, glabrous on both sides; filaments linear, flat, dilated near base, glabrous or sparsely hairy on adaxial side, densely sericeous on abaxial side, extending beyond anthers.
Carpels numerous, golden sericeous. Fruits 3.5-4.7 cm long; achenes 5-7 mm long, oblong-lanceolate or fusiform, convex on both sides, reddish-brown, golden velutinous; style with golden hairs bearded.

分布

台灣 : open land, stream sides and forest margins between 500 and 2,200 m.
世界 : This is the only species in this group distributed over both hemispheres and widely distributed in the Old World. From India, the Himalayan, mainland China, Vietnam, the Philippines and Indonesia to Japan(Ryukyus).
