Rhizome short, creeping; c. s. round with about 5 bundles; scales ovate, clathrate, luman clear, denticulate, peltate.
Stipes approximate, very short or nearly absent; fronds lanceolate or oblanceolate, 10-25 cm long, 1-3 cm broad; fertile fronds with a distinct, much contracted narrowly linear apical segment, 5-6 cm long; venation mostly hidden, lateral veins visible; margin entire, or slightly wavy.
Sporangia costal, borne on the terminal segment in long coenosori; paraphyses peltate, round, clathrate with short projecting arms.
