形態特徵

• Climbing vines, 2-5 m long. Stems woody, terete, glabrous, smooth, 3-7 mm thick; branches straightish, 1-2 mm thick, 5-20 cm long.
• Leaves alternate, highly variable in shape and thickness; blades elliptic, oblong-elliptic, ovate to broadly ovate, 3-10 cm long, 1.5-5 cm wide, base cuneate, rounded or shallowly cordate, apex obtuse or somewhat gradually subacute or occasionally rather suddenly contracted to acuminate, herbaceous to coriaceous, sometimes thick coriaceous, margins +/- recurved, lower surface glaucous, +/- white-powdery; costas 5 or 7, separate to base, slender and weakly elevated on both surfaces, lateral veinlets irregularly divided, oblique, curved, or spreading, forming loose inconspicuous reticulations on lower surface; petiole bent upward, 7-15 mm long, breaking at apex, sheathing part 3-8 mm long; wings ca. 0.5 mm wide, herbaceous, dark brown, auricles acute, 1.5-3 mm long; tendrils only on sterile branches and stems, 6-9 cm long.
• Flowering branches 5-20 cm long, nodes 5-10, bearing umbels at all or only in upper 3-6 nodes. Umbels in non-prophyllate axils, staminate ones 10-40-flowered, pistillate ones 8-20-flowered; peduncle 5-12 mm long, shorter than to slightly longer than subtending petiole; receptacle ca. 2 mm across; bracteoles depressed deltoid, apiculate; rays 3-5 mm long. Staminate perianth reddish, ovate-globose, 2 mm long and wide; tepals free, only slightly opening, thick, outer ones broadly ovate, 1.5-1.8 mm wide, suddenly contracted to subobtuse or mucronate apex, inner ones ovate, 1.7 mm long, 1 mm wide, subobtuse. Stamens 6, subsessile; anthers elliptic, 1.3 mm long. Pistillate perianth greenish or yellowish, turbinate, 1.5-2 mm long; tepals oblique, outer ones ovate, 1.2 mm wide, subacute, inner ones ovate-oblong, 0.7 mm wide, slightly shorter than outer ones. Ovary ellipsoid, contracted at apex, 2 mm long, 1.5 mm wide; stigma 3-lobed. Staminodia 3, needlelike, 1.25 mm long.
• Berries globose, 6-8 mm across, purple-black; seeds 1-3.

分布

• 台灣 : forests, from sea level to about 1,000 m, flowering summer and autumn.
• 世界 : Southeastern Asia, southern China and northern Myanmar through Thailand and Indochina southward to Malaysia.
