形態特徵

• Scandent herbs; stem sinistrorse, slender, terete, glabrous.
• Leaves alternate, oblong-triangular or lanceolate, 4-20 cm long, 4-10 cm wide, apex acuminate or caudate, base broadly auriculate; nerves 7; petiole 3-6 cm long; tubers axillary, rounded.
• Staminate inflorescence an axillary solitary spike, or sometimes a panicle, 5-20 cm long; perianth 6-lobed, broadly obconic in outline, 1.5 mm long, 3 mm wide, each lobe broadly triangular, apex acute; stamens 3; staminodes 3; pistillate inflorescence a solitary spike, 5-15 cm long, slender, triangular; flowers with a bract at base; ovary inferior, triangular, 5 mm long, 1 mm wide, glabrous; perianth 6-lobed, rounded, 0.6 mm long and broad; staminodes 6, small; style columnar, 0.5 mm long, 3-cleft at apex.
• Capsule 3-winged, obcordate; base obtuse, rounded, 2-3 cm long, 2.5 cm wide; seeds elliptic, 5 mm long, 2 mm wide, with membranaceous wing, wing 4 mm wide.

• 台灣 : at edges of forests, to 2,000 m.
• 世界 : China and Burma.
