生活型

形態特徵
- Tubers long, fleshy, mostly cylindrical, to 1 m in length; stems right-twining, stout, ridged, glabrous, often violet.
- Leaves opposite, rarely whorled or alternate; blades oblong-triangular or ovate-triangular, apex acuminate, base hastate-cordate, sometimes truncate, 6-10 cm long, 3-6 cm wide, 7-9-nerved; petiole ca. 3 cm long; veins purple; bulbils axillary, globular, obovoid, 0.5-1 mm wide.
- Flowers spicate; staminate spikes 1-3, axillary; staminate flowers sessile, greenish white, numerous, ca 40 per spike, perianth 6-lobed; stamens 6, pistilate spikes pendulous.
- Capsules obovate, 3-winged.

- 台灣 : Commomly cultivated in Taiwan for the edibe subterranean tubers.
- 世界 : Mainland China, Japan, and the Ryukyus.
