A deciduous tree.
Leaves membranaceous, oblong-ovate, about 6 cm long, 2.5 cm wide, cuspidate-acuminate, cuneate-acute at base, serrulate, glabrous or slightly pubescent above, densely pubescent on midrib and veins beneath; petioles about 6 mm long, pubescent; stipules linear, minute.
Flowers 5–6-clustered; pedicels about 1 cm long, pubescent; calyx urceolate-tubular, pubescent, the lobes about 3 mm long, acuminate, glandular-serrulate; petals oblong, about 8 mm long, 4 mm wide, emarginate.
Fruits ellipsoid, about 6 mm long, 5 mm wide.
