形態特徵

• Erect subshrubs, 1–2 m tall; branches puberulous, stout, glandular, canaliculate.
• Leaves membranaceous, with brown glandular dots, broadly ovate to suborbicular-ovate, 12–22 cm long, 11–23 cm wide, acute at apex, deeply cordate at base, multinerved, puberulous on nerves on both surfaces; petioles 7–12 cm long, puberulous.
• Spikes erect, 7–12 cm long, 3–7 together, umbellate, axillary. Flowers bisexual; bracts peltate, triangular, margins ciliate; stamens 2; stigmas 3.
• Fruit free, obovoid, 3-sided, apex truncate.

分布

• 台灣 : in the southern part, lowlands and hillsides.
• 世界 : Tropical Africa, India, Ceylon and Asia.
