形態特徵

• Scandent perennial herbaceous vines. Stem olive or green, sulcate, glabrous at maturity.
• Leaves biternately or bipinnately compound, chartaceous; petioles tendril-like, 4.6-7.1 cm long; stipules absent. Leaflets 9-15, 2.4-8.6 cm long, 4.0-57 mm wide, ovate or ovate-oblong, sometimes oblong-lanceolate; apex acute; base cuneate or obtuse; 3-lobed; margin serrate or coarsely serrate, rarely entire; sparsely velutinous at least along nerves on adaxial surface; densely white velutinous on abaxial surface; main veins 3, rarely 5, nerves flat or sunken on adaxial side, elevated on abaxial side; petiolulate.
• Inflorescences cymes, axillary; pedicels pubescent, trichotomously branched; bracts ovate, sometimes 3-lobed, glabrous on adaxial side, pubescent on abaxial side. Flowers 2.8-4.5 cm diam. Sepals 4, white when fresh turning dark brown when dry, spreading, 1.5-2.5 cm long, 5-12 mm wide, elliptic or ovate; apex acute; base obtuse or cuneate; glabrous or nearly so inside, densely white velutinous outside. Stamens numerous, inner and outer ones 6-11 mm long, middle ones 12-17 mm long, glabrous, centripetal; anthers narrowly elliptic or linear, dehiscence lateral, longitudinal; connective shorter than pollen sacs; filaments linear, flat.
• Carpels numerous, brown sericeous. Fruits 2-3 cm long; achenes 4 mm long, narrowly ovate or elliptic, convex laterally, dark brown, brown velutinous hairs; style with goldish brown or reddish brown hairs.

分布

• 台灣 : Open land and forest margins, mainly in the central mountains, Yushan and Alishan between 1,100 and 2,500 m.
