形態特徵

Tufted epiphytes. Pseudobulbs cylindrical, obscured by overlapping leaf sheaths.
Leaves 6-9, nearly distichous, linear, 50-80 cm long, 7-14 mm wide, yellowish green, coriaceous, apex acute, narrowed at base and articulated with sheaths.
Peduncle producing from base of pseudobulb, pendulous or arching, 20-40 cm long, with several overlapping sheaths near base, sheaths ovate-lanceolate, 8-9 cm long; bracts ovate, 7 mm long, 3 mm wide, acute; pedicel and ovary 3-4 cm long. Flowers many, perianth spreading, more or less hyaline, whitish, with reddish median band; sepals oblanceolate, 2.5-3.2 cm long, 7-8 mm wide, acute; petals similar to sepals but shorter, 2-2.3 cm long, 8 mm wide; lip distinctly 3-lobes, 1.8 cm long, 1.4 cm wide, lateral lobes erect, elliptic, with many parallel strips; midlobe reflexed, ovate, ca. 8 mm long, obtuse, deep purplish red, disc 2-keeled, keels parallel, yellow, hairy; column reddish, 1.2-1.4 cm long; anther yellow, 2-celled; pollinia 2, deeply lobed, attached to broad triangular viscidium.
Capsules fusiform, 5-6 cm long, 2.5 cm in diam., pedical ca. 1.5-2 cm long.

分布

台灣 : forests at 200-1,500 m throughout, fairly abundant on branches of trees.
世界 : Widely distributed from Japan, southern China, India, and the Himalaya, through Indochina, Philippine, and Malay to Indonesia.
