形態特徵

• Plants 40-50 cm tall. Rhizomes obscure. Pseudobulbs conic-globose, 2 cm long, 1.5 cm in diam., 3- or 4-nodose.
• Leaves long-petiolate, oblong-spatulate, 20-30 cm long, 4-7 cm wide, apex acute, base long cuneate; petioles 10-20 cm long, slender.
• Scapes arising with young leaves, 40-50 cm tall, rather slender, peduncle and rachis shortly pubescent; flower bearing portion 25-30 cm long, laxly flowered; bracts linear-lanceolate, 8-12 mm long, chartaceous; pedicel and ovary 2-3 cm long, shortly pubescent. Flowers pendulous, 2-3 cm apart, pale yellow, greenish yellow to yellowish brown, usually turning brownish outside, ca. 2 cm in diam.; sepals oblong, 1.1-1.5 cm long, 5-6 mm wide, acute, mainly 3- nerved; petals obovate, 1-1.3 cm long, 3-4 mm wide, acute at apex, contracted at base, 1-nerved; lip white, semiorbicular in outline, 1.2-1.4 cm in diam., spurred, 3-lobed, lateral lobes often curved downward, ovate, falcate to broadly obovate, 4-5 mm long, central lobes oblong to square, 5-7 mm long, apiculate at apex, disc with 3 thick parallel ridges near base, spur ca. 1 cm long, slightly longer than ovary; column short and thick, 5 mm long; anther fleshy, ovate, 3 mm long, acute at apex; pollinia clavate, 2 mm long attached by short caudicles to an ellipsoid viscidium; stigma solitary, rostellum shallowly 2- lobed, lobes acute.

分布

• 台灣 : in forests at ca. 1,000 m in the mountainous regions of northern Taiwan, uncommon.
• 世界 : Southern China (south of Yangtse River).
