形態特徵

Plants 1-3 m. Rhizome tuberous, aromatic.
Shoot leafy, tufted; ligule lanceolate, membranaceous, 2-3 cm; leaf blade sessile or subsessile, oblong-lanceolate or lanceolate, 30-40 by 5-8 cm, base acute, apex long acuminate, subcoriaceous, adaxial glabrous, abaxial finely pubescent or thinly hairy, especially along midrib.
Inflorescence spike-like, ellipsoid; bracts persistent, imbricate, ovate, 4.5-5 by 2.5-4 cm, 2- or 3-flowered per bract. Flowers white, fragrant; calyx tube short, apex 3-dentate, split unilaterally; corolla tube slender, 8 cm, lobes lanceolate, ca. 5 cm, dorsal lobe spatulate, apex mucronate; lateral staminodes oblong-lanceolate, ca. 5 cm; labellum obcordate, 4-6 cm long and wide, white, lightly yellow at base and central line, apex bifid; filament ca. 3 cm; anther 1.5 cm; ovary sericeous.
Capsule trilocular, partially enclosed in persistent bracts, pericarp yellowish orange inside. Seeds many, with sticky red arils.

台灣 : in wet place at low elevations.
世界 : India, Malaysia, Vietnam, and southern China.
