形態特徵

Perennial with obliquely ascending rhizomes clothed with dark brown remnants of basal sheath; culms loosely tufted, 15-80 cm by 1-3 mm, compressedly trigonous, smooth.
Lower leaves reduced to bladeless sheaths, upper leaves amny, with elongated blade, shorter than culm; blades linear, 5-15 cm by 0.5-1.5 mm, obtuse, canaliculate to inrolled, glabrous, glaucous green; sheaths 2-12 cm long, subcoriaceous, pale stramineous or basal ones dark brown; ligule a fringe of short hairs.
Inflorescence simple or subcompound, usually contracted, loose, 2-5 cm by 1-3.5 cm; involucre bracts 1-3, linear, lower 1 or 2 equalling or briefly surpassing corymb; primary branches 3-7, unequal, 0.5-3.5 cm long. Spikelet 3-15 per inflorescence, solitary, oblong to narroely ovoidal, 7-13 mm by 3-4 mm, acute, subterete, brown or dark ferrugineous, densely many-flowered.
Glumes many per spikelet, spiral, ovate to ovate-elliptic, 3-4.5 mm by 1.8-2.8 mm, obtuse, herbaceous, glaucous-ferrugineous, sparingly pubescent on upper median part, keel green, 1-nerved. Stamens 3; anthers 0.8-1 mm long. Style flat, slightly dilated at base, densely ciliate; stigmas 2. Achenes broadly obovate to obovate, biconvex, 1-1.2 mm by 0.7-1 mm, shortly stipitate, dark brown, nearly smooth.

台灣 : in sunny wet places with the influence of brackish water at seashores.
