形態特徵

• Perennial with very short rhizome. Culms densely tufted, 7-60 cm by 0.5-0.8 mm, compressed trigonous, smooth.
• Leaves basal, few; blades filiform, to 25 cm by 0.8-1.2 mm, canaliculate, obtuse, scabrid on upper margins; sheaths brownish cinnamon, ventrally ferrugineous, membranaceous, truncate at orifice; ligule absent.
• Inflorescence of a single (very rarely 2) terminal spikelet; involucre bract 1, green midvein usually prolonged beyond glume apex forming a setaceous erect blade 7-17 mm long. Spikelet ovoid, ellipsoidal or lanceolate-oblong, 0.8-3 cm by 4-8 mm, terete, densely many-flowered, brownish.
• Glumes many per spikelet, spiral, ovate, 5-7 mm by 3-4.5 mm, mucronate, chartaceous, yellowish or orange-brown, keel greenish, several nerved, ending in a mucro apex. Stamens 3; anthers ca. 2 mm long. Style weakly flattened, fimbriate, slightly dilated at base; stigmas 2. Achenesobovate-orbicular, 1.5-1.7 mm by 1.2-1.5 mm, shortly stipitate, biconvex, pale-brownish, slightly shiny, obscurely cancellated by rows of isodiametrical epidermal cells.

• 世界 : Japan, Korea and China.
