形態特徵

• Aannual with fibrous roots; cums densely tufted, 8-25 cm by 0.3-0.5 mm, trigonous, smooth, glabrous.
• Leaves basal, few; blades linear, 1.5-5 cm by 0.7-1 mm, obtuse, flattish with more or less incurved margins, light green, mostly pilose on both surfaces, sometimes glabrescent; sheaths 0.5-3 cm long, pale-green or brownish, pubescent; ligule absent.
• Inflorescence compound, loose to subdence, 2-4 cm by 2-4 cm; involucre bracts 3-5, setaceous, glabrescent; primary branches 3-7, 1-3 cm long. Spikelets many per inflorescence, solitary, ovate to lanco-ovate, 3-6 mm long by 2-3 mm, acute, subterete, subdensely 7-18-flowered, yellowish or orange brown.
• Glumes 10-40 per spikelet, spiral, narrowly ovate or elliptic, 1.5-2 mm long, acute, membranaceous, pale and tinged with brownish orange or yellow, 3-nerved green keel projecting beyond glume apex forming a recurved awn 0.7-1 mm long. Stamen 1; anthers 0.5-1 mm long. Style weakly flattened, ciliolate above, dilated base pilose with long, white, silky, pendant hairs 1/2-2/3 its length of achene; stigmas 2. Achenes obovate, thickly biconvex, 0.6-1 mm by 0.4-0.6 mm, shortly stipitate, yellow or orange yellow, smooth and sometimes slightly hiny.
