形態特徵

• Perennial with long creeping, decumbent woody rhizome; culms solitary, 10-30 cm by 1.2-2.5 mm, obtusely trigonous, wholly white-pubescent.
• Leaves basal, many; blades linear, 4-10 cm by 1.7-4 mm, obtuse, flat, margin revolute, glaucous-green and silky strigose; sheaths 2-3 cm lomg, palegreen to rusty-brown, obliquely truncate at orifice; ligule absent.
• Inflorescence simple or occasionally head-like, loose, 3-6 cm by 3-4 cm; involucre bracts 2-3, leaf-like, shorter than corymb, whitish pubescent; primary branches 2-6, oblique, 1-8 cm long, white-pubescent. Spikelets few to many per inflorescence, in cluster of 3-10, ovate to ovate-oblong, 6-12 mm by 3-4 mm, acute, densely many-flowered.
• Glumes many per spikelet, spiral, ovate to broadly ovate, 3-4 mm long, mucronate, herbaceous, brownish gray, pubescent, margins whitish hyaline, distinctly keeled, several-nerved over whole breadth. Stamens 2-3; anthers ca. 2.5 mm long. Style flate, glabrescent to puberulent above, slightly dilated, often strigose at base; stigmas 2-3. Achenes obovate, 1-1.5 mm by 0.8-1 mm, biconvex, sessile, purplish or dark brown, smoothish to minutely dotted.

分布

• 台灣 : in sandy seashores, dunes along the coast, also as an undergrowth of coastal forests.
• 世界 : India, Indochina, Malesia, northern Australia, China and Japan.
