形態特徵

• Tall perennial with short woody rhizome. Culms erect, robust, 60-150 cm tall, trigonous below, triquetrous above, smooth.
• Leaves rather many, equalling or shorter than culm; blades linear, 5-15 mm wide, subcoriaceous, flattish plicate; sheaths stained with purplish brown.
• Corymbs compound or decompound, 15-22 cm long, with 4 to 9 patent, unequal rays to 18 cm long, each ray terminated by a secondary corymb with 4-7 raylets, 2-5 cm long. Spikes cylindrical, 3-6 cm long, 1.5-2 cm wide, sublaxly bearing many spikelets. Spikelets spreading, linear, 6-10 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, hardly flattened, straw-colored; rachilla winged with subtranslucent base of glumes.
• Glumes ovate to elliptic, membranaceous, obscurely 1- or 2-nerved on each side, greenish keel ending in a short cusp. Achenes oblong-elliptic, trigonous, 1/2 to 2/3 as long as glume, glaucous-brownish; style slender, to 3 times as long as achene; stigmas 3. Stamens 3.

• 台灣 : Wet places at low altitudes.
• 世界 : Tropical and subtropical region of both hemispheres.
