形態特徵

• Rhizome loosely tufted, with long, slender stolon. Culms erect, 30-60 cm tall, trigonous, l.5-2 mm thick, smooth below, scabrid on upper angles.
• Leaves several, basal and subbasal, 10-20 mm wide, lower surface glaucus.
• Spikes 3 to 6, subfastigiate except for 1 or 2 lowest that are spaced; terminal spike staminate or gynaecandrous with a few pistillate flowers, linear, 5-7 cm long, ca. 2 mm wide, pale yellow to light brown; lateral spikes pistillate or occasionally androgynous with a few staminate flowers, cylindrical, 5-7 cm long, 4-6 mm wide, sessile to short-peduncled. Bracts as a rule not sheathing; blades of lower bracts surpassing inflorescence.
• Pistillate glumes oblong to ovate, 2-2.5 mm long, acute to obtuse at apex, pale with green costa; awn 1-1.7 mm long. Utricles ovoid, trigonous, slightly inflated, 3-3.5 mm long, light green, often minutely brown-spotted above, many-veined, obtuse at base, beak 1-1.7 mm long; bidentate. Achenes subloosely enveloped, ovate, triquetrous, 1.2-1.5 mm long; style slightly enlarged at base; stigmas 3, rather long, persistent.

分布

• 台灣 : forest margin and grassy place at mid elevations.
• 世界 : India, the Himalaya, southern China, Japan, Korea, the Ryukyus and southeastern Asia.
