形態特徵

• Rhizome short creeping, loosely to densely tufted. Culms 20-60 cm tall, slender, smooth.
• Leaves basal and subbasal, 2-5 mm wide, scabrid on upper margins; sheaths deeply red-brown to purple-brown.
• Spikes 3-8, uppermost 2 or 3 subfastigiate, remainder spaced; terminal spike short, staminate or gynaecandrous with a few pistillate flowers, linear, 2-5 cm long; lateral spikes 3-7 cm long, ca 3 mm wide, loosely bearing 10 to 20 flowers, subsessile or short peduncle. Bracts with leafy blade, sheathing, lowest sheath 2-4 cm long, lowest blade elongated.
• Pistillate glumes oblong to ovate, 2.8-3 mm long, pale with glaucous-green costa, obtuse at apex. Utricles longer than glume, erect, fusiform or some what elongated, 6-7 mm long, trigonous, green, shiny, 2-costate, glabrous, gradually tapering to both ends, beak ca. 2 mm long, deeply 2-cleft. Achenes tightly enveloped, elliptic to obovate, 2.5-3 mm long; style slightly thickened at base; stigmas 3.3-3.5 mm long.

• 台灣 : open place at high elevations.
• 世界 : The Himalaya, China, Sumatra and New Guinea.
