形態特徵

• Rhizome short, densely tufted. Culms rather short, 10-20 (-30) cm, slender, obtusely 3-angled.
• Leaves many, 4-7mm wide, 25-60 (-90) cm long.
• Inflorescence usually 5 to 8 spikes, single at each node; terminal spike staminate, 1-2 cm long, 1 mm thick, pale-brownish; lateral spikes pistillate or with short staminate part at apex, narrowly cylindrical, 1-3 cm long, 3-4 mm thick, loosely many-flowered, sessile to exserted peduncles. Lower 2 or 3 leaf like bracts elongated, much exceeding inflorescence; upper bracts much reduced, sheathing base 1-2.5 cm long.
• Pistillate glumes elliptic to oblong or ovate, 2-3 mm long, 1-1.75 mm wide, membranaceous, pale brown with hyaline margins, rounded at ciliolate apex, faintly several-nerved, midrib greenish. Utricles ca. twice as long as glume, rhombic-lageniform, trigonous, 3.75-5 mm long, broadest at ca. middle, 1.25-1.5 mm wide, pale-green, glabrescent or sparsely puberulent, slenderly many-veined, cuneate at short-stiped base, beak short, 1/2 - 1 mm long, bidentate. Achenes tightly enveloped, rhombic-fusiform, 2.5-3 mm long, triquetrous, 1.25-1.5 mm wide, cuneate at base, apex truncate, ca. 1 mm in diam.; style short, with thickened base; stigmas 3.

分布

• 台灣 : forest floor at low elevations.
• 世界 : Sri Lanka, the Ryukyus, southeastern Asia and northern Australia.
