形態特徵

Rhizome short, densely tufted. Clums slender, 20-60 cm tall, ca. 0.5 mm thick, trigonous, scabrid above.
Leaves rather many, 5-30 cm long, more or less recurved; blades, l.5-3 mm wide, stiff, asperous on upper surface; sheaths dark brown.
Inflorescence paniculate, occupying 1/3 to 1/2 its length of culm, narrow, loose, bearing fascicled spikes at 4 to 7 nodes; fascicles bearing 2 to 6 capillary. Bracts sheathing; blades of lower bracts leafy, upper bracts with setaceous blade. Spikes androgynous with staminate part much shorter than pistillate part, 1-4 cm long, loosely to subdensely flowered, rusty-brown.
Pistillate glumes oblong to elliptic, acute at apex, 3-5 mm long, rusty brown with white-hyaline margin, awned at apex. Utricles suberect, lanceolate-ovate, lenticular, 3-5 mm long, slenderly several-veined, hispidulous, narrowed below to a short-stipitate base, gradually tapering above to a rather long beak, minutely bidentate. Achenes rather tightly enveloped, ovate, 1.2-1.5 mm long, lenticular; style more or less thickened at base; stigmas 2, slender, 3-5 mm long.

台灣 : Rocky place at mid to high elevations.
世界 : New Guinea.
