形態特徵

• Roots fibrous, sometimes from a tuberous rhizome.
• Leaves linear to ensiform, 8-28 cm long, 2-5 mm wide, apex acute to acuminate, base sheathing, chartaceous, entire, glabrous on both surfaces, greenish.
• Scape erect to ascending, 10-20 cm long, glabrous or slightly pubescent; spathe lanceolate to broadly lanceolate, 3-5 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide, apex acute to acuminate; bracts linear to lanceolate, 1-2 cm long, 4-5 mm wide, apex acute; flowers 3 to many; pedicel slender, 2-4 cm long, glabrous; perianth tube 2-3 mm long; tepals oblong-obovate, 7-12 mm long, 3-4 mm wide, blue-violet with a yellow base, with a truncate-emarginate, apiculate, more or less hairy; stamens 3, filaments monadelphous; staminal tube finely pubescent; style apex distinctly thickened, slightly 3-lobed.
• Capsules globose-obovoid, 3-4 mm in diam.; brownish, more or less hairy; seeds minute, numerous.

分布

• 台灣 : introduced and naturalized in Taiwan between 1910-1920.
• 世界 : Native to tropical America.
