形態特徵

Roots without hairs, usually light purplish blue. Stems usually inconspicuous, obliquely erect.
Leaves radical or spirally arranged, entire, apex usually acuminate, with many parallel veins connected by cross-veins; submersed leaves linear or subspatulate, acute; floating leaves narrowly lanceolate, petiolate; base of emergent leaves narrowly cordate, apex acute; petiole with a broad sheath at base.
Inflorescences with 2-21 flowers; peduncle 2-10 mm long; bracts obovate, apex aristate, 1.5-3 cm long, 6-12 mm wide. Flowers pedicellate; perianth segments 6, oblong, purplish blue, 8-12 mm long, 2-3.5 mm wide, persistent.
Fruit ellipsoid, ca. 8 mm long. Seeds oblong, with 8-12 longitudinal ribs.

分布

台灣 : in rice fields and swamps throughout.
世界 : Java, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Ryukyus and Japan.
