形態特徵

• Acaulescent herbs, usually without stolons. Rhizome stout, often knobby, sometimes elongate. Roots to 4 mm across, sometimes partially thickened into indistinct slender fusiform tubers.
• Leaves many, tufted, linear to linear oblanceolate, attenuate at both ends, margins serrulate especially apically, 5-10-nerved, 10-75 cm long, 3-9 mm wide, relatively thick, smooth on both surfaces.
• Peduncle slender, often purplish, 10-40 cm long, 1-3.5 mm wide, flowering portion 1.5-8 cm long, usually less than 1/4 inflorescence length. Pedicel 2.5-9 mm long, articulate at or above middle. Bracts ovate to subulate, acuminate to aristate, margin scarious, serrulate apically, usually to 2.5 cm long. Flowers 1-4 per bract, faintly fragrant; perianth segments white to purplish; lobes ovate or lanceolate, obtuse and recurved at apex, fleshy, marginally membranaceous, 3.5-5 mm long, 1.5-2.7 mm wide. Anthers lanceolate, 2.5-4 mm long, usually creamy. Style relatively thick, subulate-pyramidal, trigonous, 3-4.5 mm long, 0.7-1 mm wide at base (in leaf); ovary inferior or semi-inferior; ovules 2 or 3(-5) per locule.
• Seeds ovoid or ellipsoid, 6-12 mm long, 5.5-9 mm across, deep blue, glossy.

Flowering from June to November.

分布

• 台灣 : widely distributed in forests from low elevations to ca.1,700 m.
• 世界 : Southern China (Hainan, Hongkong), western Kwangsi and southwestern Japan (Yonaguni Is., the southern Ryukyus).
