形態特徵

Large shrubs to small trees, to 10 m tall, evergreen; branchlets puberulous or glabrous.
Leaves coriaceous, glabrous, obovate to elliptic, 7–14 cm long, apex obtuse to rounded, base cuneate, entire or sparingly sinuate-dentate, glandular, sometimes slightly pubescent in axils beneath, midrib distinct on upper surface, raised on lower surface, lateral veins 4 or 5 per side, pinnate, indistinct on upper surface, raised on lower surface, reticulations indistinct; petiole stout, 1–2 cm long.
Inflorescences corymbose cymes, 5–10 cm across, glabrous, peduncle longer than inflorescence; pedicel 1–2 mm long; bracts lanceolate, pubescent; teeth of calyx limb shallow, triangular; corolla white, lobes elliptic, 3–4 mm long.
Fruits oblong, red to black, ca. 10 mm long and 5 mm across.

分布

台灣 : in the southern part, 300–1,500 m.
世界 : India, Indochina, southern China to the Philippines.
