形態特徵

• Annuals, 30–45 cm long, much-branched, stems creeping and rooting below, erect above.
• Leaves variable in shape and size, lanceolate to oblong or elliptic, 2–10 cm long, 0.5–2.5 cm broad, upper ones usually smaller, apex acute, base acute to attenuate, margins sometimes ciliolate, lateral nerves 4–11 pairs; petiole 2–5 mm long.
• Flowers solitary and opposite, or arranged in dense racemes or panicles; pedicel 2–10 mm long; calyx lobes lanceolate, 4–6 mm long, more or less glandular hairy; corolla lilac blue, segments ovate, 3–4 mm long; filaments 2.5–4 mm long, equal; ovary pubescent at apex, styles 2, divergent.
• Capsule ellipsoid, 4-5 mm long, pilose; seeds many, oblong, 0.3–0.4 mm long, brown.

分布

• 台灣 : in paddy fields and damp swampy situations.
• 世界 : Tropical Asia.

PINGTUNG: Bankinsing, Faurie 550 (A, KYO). Known only from Faurie's collection in 1914.
