形態特徵

Shrubs, 1–2 m tall; branches and branchlets glabrous, slender.
Leaves subcoriaceous or chartaceous, oblong, narrowly oblong, ovate, lanceolate, narrowly elliptic, 6–11 cm long, 2–4 cm broad; base obtuse, apex long cuspidate-acuminate; upper surface glabrous, lower surface appressed short pubescent on nerves; secondary veins 4–6-pairs, veinlets parallel or subparallel; stipules narrowly deltate, ca. 2 mm long, pubescent, caducous in age; petioles 4–6 mm long, sparsely appressed short pubescent. Peduncle ca. 4 mm long.
Flowers subsessile, ebracteate, clustered in axillary head. Calyx campanulate, ca. 2mm long, sparsely pubescent outside, lobes 5, ca. 1 mm long. Corolla salverform, ca. 10 mm long, white, upper 1/2 of tube pubescent inside, glabrate outside, lobes 5. Stamens 5, filaments ca. 1 mm long, anthers oblong, ca. 1.2 mm long. Style filiform, ca. 7 mm long, stigma 5-branched, white or purple.
Drupe globose, 4–6 mm in diam., sparsely pubescent, bluish purple, persistent calyx lobes sparsely pubescent. Seeds 5 or 6.

台灣 : in broad-leaved forests at low elevations throughout the island.
