形態特徵

Herbs, erect. Stems pubescent, unbranched, to 80 cm tall.
Leaves opposite; blades elliptic, broadly ovate or ovate-orbicular, 6–15 cm long, 3–8 cm broad, pubescent on both surfaces, apex acuminate or rounded, base rounded or obscurely cordate; petiole 3–10 mm long.
Inflorescences, sessile or shortly peduncled umbels. Flowers blackish-brown to dark purple; calyx lobes lanceolate, ca. 4 mm long, acuminate; corolla thinly puberulent outside, glabrous inside, lobes 6–8 mm long.
Follicles 1 per pedicel, puberulent, ca. 8 cm long. Seeds flat, ovate, ca. 5 mm long, comose.

台灣 : coastal areas and river banks in the western part.
世界 : Eastern Asia.
