形態特徵
- Small trees, branchlets rigid.
- Leaves coriaceous, black when dry, crowded toward ends of branchlets, lanceolate or oblanceolate to linear-obovate, 10–25 cm long, 2.5–7 cm wide, apex acute to abruptly acuminate, base cuneate, veins slender, 12–17 pairs, petiole ca. 1–6 cm long.
- Flowers white, usually pinkish outside in bud, in large cymes, peduncles ca. 5–15 cm long, bracts deciduous; pedicels 2–2.5 cm long; calyx lobes oblong-elliptic, 1.2–1.5 cm long, acute; corolla tube green, pubescent inside, 1.5–3 cm long, 4 mm wide, mouth 5-angled, pink, limb white, 2–5 cm across, lobes imbricate in bud, obovate, acute, 2–2.3 cm long, 1–1.5 cm wide; corona yellow, at apex of corolla tube, pubescent; stamens 5, subsessile, attached below corona, anthers caudate at apex; gynoecium slightly shorter than anthers, stigma dilated, hypanthium deciduous.
- Fruit ellipsoid, 5 cm long, 3–3.5 cm in diam., exocarp fleshy, mesocarp fibrous, endocarp stony, seed one, with a thin membranaceous coat.

- 世界 : Tropical Asia, a common plant.
