形態特徵

Small shrubs 1–2 m tall.
Leaves ovate-oblong to oblong-lanceolate, 5–11 cm long, 2–5 cm broad, acuminate, base cuneate, entire, brownish stellate-tomentose on both surfaces when young, glabrous adaxially when mature, lateral nerves 7–9; petiole ca. 1 cm long.
Inflorescence racemose, 3–7 cm long, axillary or terminal, 8–12-flowered, rachis brownish stellate-tomentose; calyx-margin minutely denticulate or entire; corolla tube 2.5 cm long, lobes oblong, ca. 1 cm long, 2 mm broad, appressed-pilose outside; stamens ca. 7 mm long.
Fruit subglobose, tomentose, calyx persistent, ca. 1 cm long, obtuse, dehiscing by 3 valves at apex.

分布

台灣 : very common in forests from (sea level to 350 m.) throughout the island.
世界 : Southern China.
