形態特徵

• Perennial suberect herb, often clumped, with fleshy, scaly basal turions; stems 7–25 cm tall, simple or sparsely branched, strigillose, lacking raised hairy lines.
• Leaves 1–2.5 cm long, 0.5–1 cm wide, ovate to lanceolate or lance-elliptic, denticulate, with petioles 0–2 mm long.
• Flowers erect; floral tube 0.6–1 mm long; sepals 3–5 mm long; petals 4–6.5 mm long, rose-purple; stigma capitate or broadly clavate.
• Capsules 25–50 mm long, strigillose, on pedicels 5–10 mm long. Seeds 1.1–1.5 mm long, the surface scarcely papillose; coma white, detaching readily.

Flowers Jul-Sep; fruit Aug-Oct (rarely to Dec).

引證標本

Distribution: Endemic to Taiwan. Grows in the high mountains on subalpine scree or gravelly slopes among rocks where moisture is sufficient, rarely in shaded places; 3,000–3,900 m.
