形態特徵

A tree, the branchlets nearly glabrous.
Leaves orbicular, the apex acute, the base cordate, 8–14 cm long, 9–19 cm broad, the margins entire or in-conspicuously serrate, 7–9-nerved at base, slightly puberulent above, densely puberulent beneath; petioles 3–6 cm long, stout, tomentose; stipules foliaceous, large, caducous.
Flowers solitary, axillary, the pedicels short, club-shaped, densely puberulent; epicalyx cupular, the segments 9–11, triangular, 3–4 mm long; calyx campanulate, 5-parted, densely puberulent; corolla large, yellow with a dark purple center; staminal tube shorter than the petals, antheriferous throughout; ovary 10-celled, densely puberulent.
Capsules globose, shortly beaked, sericeous, about 2 cm across.

台灣 : Common along the seashores.
世界 : Pantropical.
