形態特徵

• A small tree, the branches terete, browish.
• Leaves coriaceous, oblong, 8–18 cm long, 3.4–6 cm broad, rounded or obtuse, rarely acute at the apex, usually inequilateral acute at the base, glabrous or very slightly pubescent along the midrib, the lateral veins 11–17 on both sides of the midrib, the veinlets prominently reticulated; petioles 1.5–2.5 cm long, slightly pubescent. Panicles terminal, up to 15 cm long.
• Flowers bisexual, 5–6 merous; pedicels with 1–2 small bracts at the base; calyx-lobes broadly ovate, obtuse at the apex; petals white, lanceolate; stamens 5–6, alternate with petals. Ovary globose, pubescent, 1-celled, the style 3.
• Drupe depressed ovoid, 2 cm long; seated on an enlarged receptacle.

分布

• 台灣 : known only from the Is. Lanyu. Distributed on open slopes.
• 世界 : The Philippines Island and Celebes.
