形態特徵

Woody vine, sometimes a shrub, 20–30 m high, glabrous or nearly so, grayish brown.
Leaves simple, opposite, shortly petiolate, subcoriaceous, variable in size, oblong to oblong-lanceolate or ovate-oblong, mostly 10–15 cm long, 4–6 cm wide, sometimes larger, acuminate to acute, slightly cuneate or obtuse at base, generally with 2 glands beneath or glabrescent, margin often glandular-dotted beneath, lateral veins 6–7 pairs, curved toward the tip; petioles 7–10 mm long; stipules minute, gland-like.
Inflorescence 10–35 cm long, pubescent or glabrous. Flower fragrant, white, bisexual, terminal; calyx deeply incised; petals 5, orbicular to elliptic, clawed; stamens 10, varying from 2–18 mm long; stigma acute.
Fruit samaras, with 3 laterally coriaceous wings, usually variable in size and shape, dark reddish when fresh, brownish when dry, glabrescent. Seeds globose 3–4 mm across, lustrous.

分布

台灣 : known from low to medium altitudes up to 1500 m, in thickets and forests.
世界 : India, Malaysia to South China.
