形態特徵

• A medium-sized tree. Branchlets pubescent, late glabrescent.
• Leaves 15–25 cm long, 6–7 jugate, the rachis glabrous; leaflets opposite or subopposite, chartaceous, oblong-elliptic, 11–15 cm long, 3–5 cm broad, shortly acuminate at apex, more or less inequilateral at base, the lateral veins about 14 on each side of the midrid, the midrid slightly impressed above, elevated beneath, the veinlets obscure; petiolules 1–3 mm long.
• Inflorescence on the larger branches and trunk, usually fascicled, of very short, few flowered racemes, the rachis of the racemes less than 1 cm long; pedicels 7–8 mm long; calyx broadly cylindric, about 10 mm long, glabrous, densely punctulate, with 4-lobed, the lobes irregular, broadly ovate, obtuse at apex, 2–3 mm long; petals 4, oblong, about 2.5 cm long, 3–4 mm broad, thickened at apex, rather densely pubescent on the upper part, quite free from the staminal tube; staminal tube glabrous without, slightly villose within, about 2 mm long, 3.5–4 mm broad, 8-lobed at apex; anthers 8, sessile, alternate with the lobes; disk glabrous, about 3 mm long, truncate; ovary villose, the style villose in the lower part, the stigma disk-shaped.
• Capsule globose, about 4 cm across, red, pubescent when young, glabrescent.

• 台灣 : confined to Is. Lanyu only.
• 世界 : The Philippines.
