形態特徵

A small prostrate subshrub; stems rather slender, creeping, rooting on the nodes, pubescent, more or less densely prickly especially when young, the prickles recurved, up to 2 mm long.
Leaves simple, chartaceous, orbicular or reniform, the larger ones slightly 3-lobed, 3–4 cm across, the apex rounded, the base cordate, the margins denticulate, pilose on both surfaces, the veins prickly beneath; petioles up to 7 cm long, pubescent, with few to many prickles; stipules up to 6 mm long and 7 mm wide, deeply laciniate, the lobes linear.
Flowers usually solitary or sometimes 2–3-Flowered in the axils of the bracteoles or the uppermost Leaves; pedicels up to 3 mm long, pubescent and prickly; calyx globose, outside with hairs and in lower part also with dense prickles, calyx-lobes 6–10 mm long, slightly unequal, the margins lacerate; petals elliptic, 6–8 mm long, white, glabrous, the apex rounded; ovary about 1 mm long, glabrous, rarely with few hairs, the style about 3 mm long. glabrous.
Fruits orange.

分布

台灣 : Taiwan, common in forests at altitudes from 700 m to 2,500 m.
世界 : Japan, southeastern China, the Philippines.
