形態特徵

Scandent shrubs; stems densely covered with straight hairs especially when young; prickles few to many, up to 5 mm long, recurved.
Leaves simple, thinly coriaceous, broadly ovate to orbicular in outline, 7–20 cm long, 6–18 cm wide, shallowly 5–7-lobed, the lobes rounded; base cordate with the basal incision up to 5 cm deep, margins evenly serrate, dark brown and rugose-pilose above, pale tomentose-villose beneath; petioles 2–8 cm long, indumentum as stems, with some prickles; stipules oblong to orbicular in outline, up to 2 cm long, deeply digitately or pinnately divided, the lobes linear, outside hairy, inside glabrous.
Flowers in a short raceme or compound raceme, terminal or axillary; pedicels 1–1.5 cm long, densely hairy; bracts pinnatifid to pinnatiparite; calyx-lobes ovate to ovate-lanceolate with acute to acuminate apex, 6–9 mm long, outer ones with few teeth, inner ones entire, outside shortly woolly and with long hairs, inside shortly wooly; petals orbicular to elliptic, 6–9 mm long, clawed, white; filaments up to 4 mm long, with some long hairs on the connective; pistils glabrous, up to 1 cm long.
Collective fruits globular, 1 cm across, red when ripe.

台灣 : in northern and central parts.
世界 : China, Burma, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Sumatra, Malaya, Java, Lesser Sunda Islands, Borneo, Celebes.
