形態特徵

  • Annual with glabrous stems, 90 cm tall.
  • Leaves petiolate, ovate to oblong, acuminate at apex, narrowed toward base, rather large, often with a large red spot.
  • Main axis of Inflorescence strongly cristate and lobed, with many small flowers below middle; flowers red, red-purple, orange or yellow, ca. 4 mm long; sepals 5; stamens 5.
  • Utricles ovoid, enveloped in persistent perianth. Seeds compressed-reniform.

  • 台灣 : commonly cultivated in gardens in Taiwan.
  • 世界 : Pantropical.
