形態特徵

Perennial herb; stems somewhat woody at base, elongate, 40-70 cm long, usually prostrate at base, erect and ascending, branched upward, large-jointed, subterete; branches forked, slender, ascending, glabrous.
Leaves opposite, linear-lanceolate or lanceolate, 5-7 cm long, 8-12 mm wide, acuminate at apex, shortly clasping at base, chartaceous, 3-5-nerved, margins finely serrate; cauline leaves mostly shorter more narrowly tapering to apex.
Flowers showy, 3-4 cm in diameter, pink or rare white, fragrant, dichotomously paired; pedicels slender, 1-2 cm long; bracts 3-4 pairs, upper ones larger, short-cuspidate; calyx cylindrical, 3-4 cm long, multl-nerved, glabrous lobes triangular, 3-5 mm long, acute; petal limbs broadly obovate, 3-3.5 cm long, 2.5-3 cm wide, deeply laciniate.
Capsules cylindric, 3-4 cm long, dehiscing by 5 valves at apex.

分布

台灣 : 1,000-2,100 m throughout the island, exposed rocky places and river beds.
世界 : Japan, northeastern and northern China .
