形態特徵

• Herb to 8 cm tall; stems prostrate, much branched, often tinged with purple, often rooting at the nodes; nodes with a whorls of hairs.
• Leaves opposite, subsessile, elliptic to obovtae, 5-20 mm long, 2-6 mm wide, axillary hairs ca. 5 mm long.
• Flowers solitary and terminal, with 4(-many) bracteoles; sepals ca. 3 mm long; petals 4, bright yellow, purple outside, obovate, 3-6 mm long, obtuse to rounded; stamens 8 or 12; styles mostly 4-fid.
• Capsule obovoid, straw-yellow, 2.5-3.5 mm in diameter, circumscissile ca. 2/3 of fruit height.

分布

• 台灣 : in sandy soil.
• 世界 : Pantropical except Australia.
