生活型

形態特徵

  • Erect, much-branched, glabrous annual herb with tuberous tap-root; stems thickened on nodes.
  • Leaves opposite, ovate-triangular, 3-15 cm long, 2-9 cm wide, acute, rounded or slightly cordate at base.
  • Flowers with very short pedicels, crowded; involucre 5-fid, the segments ovate, acute; perianth-tube 4-5 cm long, constricted above globose base, gradually widened toward apex, purple, red, white or variegated; stamens 5, exserted.
  • Fruit black, ribbed and plicated, about 8 mm across.

分布

  • 台灣 : commonly cultivated and locally as an escape in Taiwan.
  • 世界 : Probably introduced from tropical America.
