形態特徵

Trees up to 14 m tall.
Leaves opposite, verticillate or alternate, chartaceous or subcoriaceous, elliptic to lanceolate, 10–45 cm long, 4–14 cm broad, apex acute to acuminate, base mostly acute, glabrous, lateral veins 6–7 pairs, slightly elevated on both sides; petioles 1–3 cm long. Cymes 1–6 at apices of branchlets, 5–12 cm long, pedunculate; peduncles brownish-pubescent; pedicels 1.5–6 mm long, with a small bracteole at base.
Flowers unisexual, small, greenish-white; perianth tube campanulate, brownish-pubescent when young, 4–5-lobed, lobes ovate; stamens 8–9, anthers orbicular; stigma fimbriate.
Fruits fusiform, 3–5 cm long, 5-ribed, without glands, viscid between ribs.

分布

台灣 : in thickets and damp forests at low altitudes in the southern and eastern parts.
世界 : Australia, Madagascar, India, Thailand, Vietnam, China (Hainan), Java, Malaysia, the Philippines, Micronesia and Hawaii.
