特徵描述

生活型

形態特徵

Evergreen trees; branchlets glabrous; buds brown-pubescent.
Leaves alternate, glabrous, oblong, oblong-obovate or obovate, 8–15 cm long, coriaceous, apex acute to acuminate, base cuneate or acute, serrate, shining above, pale green beneath, lateral veins 6–10 pairs, slightly elevated on both sides; petioles 0.5–2.5 cm long, glabrous, purplish-blue.
Racemes axillary, 9–20 cm long, glabrous. Flowers white or light yellow; perianth tube about 10–14 mm long; pedicels 2–7 mm long.
Fruits ellipsoid, about 15 mm across, pericarps coriaceous, black.

分布

台灣 : In thickets at lower altitudes in the central and southern parts of the island.
