形態特徵

Perennial herbs; stems erect or ascending.
Leaves mostly unequally paired, thinly succulent, with thick cuticle on lower surface, usually ovate to lanceolate, sometimes elliptic or oblong, rarely obovate, 2-16.5 cm long, 1.2-5.4 cm wide, apex mostly caudate to long caudate, sometimes acute or cuspidate, margins entire, base obtuse to shallowly cordate, 3-nerved; petioles 0.3-7.5 cm long; stipules connate at base, broadly triangular, veinless.
Inflorescences usually panicles of glomerules; male inflorescences 10-20 cm long, peduncles 5-11 cm long; female inflorescences 4-13.5 cm long, peduncles 2-6.5 cm long; mixed inflorescences present. Male flowers slightly compressed laterally, obovoid; sepals 4, connate about halfway, valvate, oblong- to obovate-cymbiform, corniculate. Female flowers oblong; sepals 3 or 4, connate at base, unequal, cymbiform; staminodes 3 or 4.
Achenes slightly warty, laterally compressed, ovoid to ovoid-ellipsoid.

分布

台灣 : ravines, moist, shady forest floors, sunny roadsides and rocks at low to medium altitudes throughout the island.
世界 : Vietnam, Hainan, S. C. mainland China and Japan?.
