形態特徵

• Monoecious perennial herbs; stems ascending or erect, usually woody at base, glabrescent to densely hirsute, older parts straw colored.
• Leaves distichous, chartaceous, strigose and somewhat scabrous above, densely hirsute to slightly hirtellous on veins beneath, ovate, obovate, narrowly elliptic to lanceolate, 3-10.5 cm long, 1-3.1 cm wide, apex acute to long caudate, margins sparsely ciliolate, sharply serrate, basiscopic half obtuse to rounded; petioles hirsute, 0-2 mm long; stipules 2, persistent, hirsute and hirtellous, ciliolate, narrowly triangular, ca. 2.5 mm long.
• Male inflorescences cymose-paniculate glomerules; peduncles hirsute and hirtellous, 0.4-1.4 cm long. Female inflorescences dense cymosely to paniculately arranged glomerules; bracts free; peduncles hirsute and hirtellous, 4-8 mm long. Male flowers somewhat hirsute and hirtellous, glabrescent; sepals 5, connate about halfway, obovate-cymbiform or cymbiform; pedicels glabrous, ca. 1.5 mm long. Female flowers subtended by bracteoles; sepals 3-5, unequal; staminodes 3-5.
• Achenes ellipsoid, distinctly tuberculate.

分布

• 台灣 : at low to medium altitudes, mostly on moist forest floor and in ravines.
• 世界 : Japan, Ryukyus, S. mainland China and Vietnam.
