形態特徵

Evergreen trees, branchlets yellowish-brown, glabrous.
Leaves chartaceous, glabrous, elliptic, broadly ovate or obovate, 15–25 cm long, 8–13 cm wide, short-acute at apex, acute or obtuse at base, entire, sometimes oblique, with 3 main veins from base, primary lateral veins 8–11 pairs, prominent beneath; petioles somewhat scurfy, 2–5 cm long; stipules membranaceous, smooth, ovate-lanceolate to linear, 2.5–3.5 cm long, fugaceous.
Male and gall or feMale flowers mixed; Male flowers few, near mouth of receptacle, pedicellate, perianth lobes 2–3, involute, stamen 1, filament short; gall flowers long pedicellate, perianth lobes short, stigma dilated; feMale flowers long pedicellate, perianth lobes 2–3, short, ovary oblique, ovoid or globose, style lateral, long, with few hyaline hairs, stigma clavate.
Receptacles green with whitish dots, short stalked or nearly sessile, solitary or paired, axillary, very depressed-globose, 1.5–2.5 cm across, with 8–11 prominent vertical ridges, glabrous; basal bracts 3, small, membranaceous; stalks thick, 0.2–0.5 cm long.

分布

台灣 : Very common at low altitudes throughout the island.
世界 : Sumatra, Java, Borneo, Lesser Sunda Island, Timor, Sulawesi, Moluccas, New Hebrides, New Guinea, Admiralty Island, New Britain, New Ireland, Solomon Island, Santa Cruz Island Queensland, the Philippines, , the Ryukyus and Bonin Island.
